It should be about you …

Jan 30, 2015

Hiring a criminal defense lawyer is not on anyone’s top ten list of things they want to do in life.  It’s not even on a list.  Unfortunately things happen, people find themselves in trouble with the law and the need to hire a criminal defense attorney becomes a reality.

You are the client. Your situation is about you and your best interests.  That is the driving philosophy in our firm.  We call it being client-centered and client-focused.  The client is seeking help, he or she has a real problem and faces real consequences.

Clients come to our firm and are scared, nervous and anxious.  These are common feelings when a person is under investigation or has already been arrested and charged with a crime.  Clients are looking for someone who understands their situation, understands their feelings and fears, and who will stand by them from the beginning to the end of their case.  This is why we exist as a criminal defense law firm – to help people in their most desperate time of need.

Our Approach

We understand that being arrested and charged with a crime is a very scary situation to be in.  Clients have a lot of questions because they don’t know what to expect and don’t understand the criminal justice system.  When clients’ questions and calls go unanswered, their peace of mind and confidence evaporates and is replaced with fear and anxiety.

Listen first, Advise second

We listen first. We want to get to know our clients and the circumstances that have brought them to our office.  There must be a relationship of trust and openness established. The best way to do this is to listen first and seek to understand the client and his or her problem from their perspective.

We advise second.  As clients tell us about themselves and the predicament they find themselves in, they give us a lot of helpful information to consider when advising them about their case.  In advising clients, we walk them through how their case is likely to proceed through the criminal courts while also managing their expectations giving them a realistic sense of what they are facing and the potential outcomes.

Bottom Line

Your case is about YOU.  It’s about looking out for YOUR BEST INTERESTS.  It’s about having your back when your back’s against the wall.
